The Rules
*
Four team members are required to start the race.  
* The race consists of eating from a local restaurant followed by either a bike ride, a run and/or an aquatic activity. 
* Racers will not be allowed to continue onto the physical challenge until they have completed their eating challenge.
* The first leg of the race is a bike leg.  Please note that each team is required to supply their own bike and their own support vehicle to take possession of the bike after the first leg.  
* Obey all traffic laws.  That mean NO RUNNING RED LIGHTS, crossing where there is not a cross walk, etc.
* STREETS WILL NOT BE CLOSED and you will be running/riding in traffic/on side walks.
* No team will be allowed to start without a helmet for their rider.
* Vomiting is strictly discouraged.
* Waivers are required for each team member prior to the start of the race.  If they have not been received prior to the start from all team member - your team will not be allowed to compete.
* Unfortunately, no racers under 18 years of age.  Sorry.
* Time Limits - Racers at the next stage will be allowed to start if the previous racer does not arrive prior to the time limit.
    Stage 1 to Nosh: 40 minutes (8:40)
    Stage 2 to Luther's:  35 minutes (9:15)
    Stage 3 to Pool: 45 minutes (10:00) (includes paddling)
    Stage 4 to Locopops: 45 minutes (10:45)
Please note: Stage 5 to the Finish will not start until all team members have reached locopops.

What to Do and What Not to Do

The Route

Four team members are required to start the race.  Each team member will race once individually and all members will complete the final leg as a team.

Please note: teams will need a support vehicle in order to collect bikes at the first transition area.  No support vehicles will be provided.

The final route is still being determined.  Each competitor should plan on running 1-3 miles after eating or cycling 5-7.

Stage 1 -- Racer 1 Eat Foster's breakfast*, bike directly to Nosh.
Stage 2 -- Racer 2 Eat Nosh sandwich and side, run directly to Luther's
Stage 3 -- Racer 3 Eat Luther's chilidog and hushpuppies, run to Central Campus Pool for a paddle across the pool.
Stage 4 -- Racer 4 Run from Central Campus pool to Dain's, eat Dain's bacon cheese fries*, run to Locopops (downtown)
Stage 5 -- Racers 1-4 meet at Locopops, eat special SEEDs  popsicles, run to finish line together at Farmer's Market

* Please note we can accommodate up to two vegetarians - one of which must be willing to eggs - per team at these stops.
